Why an illustration of a wolf with a broken Dagger

in their mouth? you might ask.

The motif was inspired by a legend that has been told about how native americans hunted wolves. The story goes that they would coat a knife in animal blood and then would freeze the knife, into some sort of bloody popsicle. They then would leave the knives out in the frozen wilderness. a unsuspecting but hungry wolf would then come across the knife and begin to lick at the blood. before they know it, the blood on the knife would slowly become theirs. being so caught up in their hunger, they wouldn’t realize that it was slowly killing them; by the time they figured it out, it was already too late.

Oh and I almost forgot, I really enjoy drawing wolves too.
